Image about the project

The project

Tesla is a partner of ViaQuatro since the launch of the São Paulo subway yellow line in 2010. In addition to responsible for creating and developing the website of the ViaQuatro, Tesla works together with the IT team at ViaQuatro in innovative projects, a striking feature of the company, recognized for the modernity of its operation centers, stations and trains.

One of these innovative projects was a pioneering subway service in the world, providing panels on the shipping platforms with real-time information on the capacity of each of the cars on the next train that will arrive at the station.

The monitor displays the drawing of the train from the ViaQuatro with its six cars. Through a color signaling system, similar to those of a traffic sign, the passenger will be able to identify the level of occupancy of the cars: green for a low level of capacity, yellow for medium and red for the highest level of capacity.

In addition to providing more passenger comfort and predictability, the panel also avoids delays in the departure of trains due to episodes in which the doors get stuck.

The project was considered to most innovative practice by Alamys, Latin American Association of Underground Subways, at the awards held in November/2017.

We have a long partnership with Tesla, where they always met our deadlines, with quality and technological excellence. The company has great professionals, with easy relationships and who understand the dynamics of our business to act proactively.
